Science is at the foundation of the advances of our societies and also offers rigour and openness of mind that we try to convey with enthusiasm and passion to students from all levels as well as to all our partners.

The impact of research on our societies through innovation and technology transfer and international cooperation is a noble objective of our missions.

Ecology is a fundamental discipline – some of its concepts (i.e., evolution, resilience, plasticity, adaptability, cooperation, and many others) have been adopted by other disciplines and are commonly applied to our societies. Studying the complexity of the ecosystem and its functioning can inspire all sectors of our societies to ensure sustainable development. This can be used to educate young generations so they can be aware about the current and future challenges and how to mitigate/adapt to such situations. Climate change is an excellent example and can be used to increase the awereness of all public. Worlwide pollution and link between human and ecosystem healths are also vital subjects.
