Link between Academy and Society: Sami Souissi is fully committed to the impact of education, research and innovation in solving societal challenges including the industrial sector. He has created public-private partnerships and participated in the setting up and governance of innovative private companies.
Scientific Expert and Advisor at national and international levels: Sami Souissi has provided scientific expertise and advice to various national and international structures. In particular he evaluated a large number of international projects and academic positions in international institutions. He has also provided his vision and advice in the private sector but especially in projects at the academy-industry interface.
Active member of international research networks and associations. For example, from the beginning of his career Sami Souissi actively contributed to the activities of the World Association of Copepodologists (WAC) by organizing in 2005 the 9th International Conference on Copepoda preceded by a summer school and paricipated in two terms of the executive committee of this association.
